THE FARM
White Horse Vale Lipizzan Farm, owned by June Boardman, is the home of Ritter Dressage. Out of its gorgeous, serene 118 acres, the Ritters operate an extensive lesson and training program. One assistant trainer and six apprentices assist in the operation of the farm. With a gorgeous views of snow-topped Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood overlooking the farm at all times of the year, White Horse Vale is surrounded by pine, cedar, fir, aspen, and birch trees. The farm provides a lovely, peaceful backdrop for the serious pursuit of the classical principles.
PERFORMANCES
The Farm presents several Classical Dressage Performances during the year. These performances are the culmination of a year of preparation, and highlight the beauty and art of classical horsemanship. Please mark these dates on your calendars and join us for a day you will not forget:
July 12, 2008
August 30, 2008
November 29, 2008
VISITORS
Visitors should fly into Portland International Aiport (PDX) and make hotel reservations early. Putting on a production such as this requires many volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering to help out, please email Shana at levade@classicaldressage.com
Many guests visit the farm each year, to see/experience/learn more about the Lipizzans and to take Riding Vacations. In addition to riding, visitors enjoy wine-tasting, hiking, white water rafting, and more. Just up the hill is an Oberservatory, for those astronomically-inclined, and right next door is a Golf Course, perfect for accompanying non-horsey husbands. Two rooms are available for stay on the farm for out-of-town guests. Email or call for Accommodations Information and Scheduling Availability.
